Refund policy

This policy explains how refunds, cancellations and returns work for Sandhu Foods (operating at sandhufoodservice.com). Because we deliver freshly cooked, perishable food, our refund rules are slightly different from a typical e-commerce shop. Please read this carefully before placing your first order.

Cancelling your subscription

You can pause, skip or cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. There is no minimum commitment and no cancellation fee.

  • Weekly subscription: cancel before your next renewal to avoid being charged for the upcoming week.
  • Monthly subscription: cancel before your next monthly renewal to avoid being charged for the upcoming month.
  • Daily orders: these are one-off and do not auto-renew.

Refunds for undelivered tiffins

If you cancel partway through a paid week or month, you are entitled to a pro-rata refund for tiffins not yet delivered. We process these refunds within 5 working days back to your original payment method.

Refunds for delivered tiffins

For food safety and hygiene reasons, freshly cooked tiffins that have already been delivered are not eligible for a refund unless the food is not as described, was delivered in a damaged condition or you have an issue with quality. If that happens:

  1. Contact us within 24 hours of delivery (email or WhatsApp).
  2. Where possible, send a photo so we can see the issue.
  3. We will replace the affected tiffin on your next delivery or issue a refund for that day's tiffin, whichever you prefer.

14-day cooling-off period (UK consumer rights)

Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, perishable, made-to-order food is exempt from the standard 14-day right to cancel once preparation has begun. However, if you have signed up for a subscription and not yet received any tiffins, you may cancel within 14 days of signup for a full refund.

Failed deliveries

If a tiffin cannot be delivered because no one was available at the address provided and our driver was unable to leave it safely, the tiffin is treated as delivered and is not refundable. Please make sure someone is at the address during your delivery window, or that we have safe-place instructions.
